Final Project

Q: Any updates or progress with your continuation or new projects

A: I will be continuing with my mid-term in a sense. I've started a new file with the same general idea but am making it much more efficient and complicated. I hope to make use of components and external loaders to prevent the project from overloading on information.

Q: Any questions in regards to your projects

A: Really just coding problems and me trying to hit above my weight at the moment. I'm confident I can come up with fitting solutions though.

Q: Ideally where would you like to see your final project by the end of the semester

A: I would like to have at least 15-20 band pages by the end of the semester.

Q: Realistically where do you believe the project will be?

A: Realistically I think I'll have around 9-10.

Q:you can include Any related links to projects

A: I don't really have any related links to post.

Mid-Term Project

For a mid-term project, I decided to make a video/image gallery of different bands doing live shows. By using Adobe Flash/Media Encoder I've been coding in and inserting images and videos to provide the user with a closer look into what a live show can sometimes look like.

By the time the mid-term is finished, I'd like to have at least 3 different bands fleshed out in the page. I also hope to use this as a springboard for the final by taking the same concept and refining it as well as adding a lot of new content.

Interactive Media

I'd really be interested in creating an interactive story told through pictures for a website. Clicking through each picture to get to a new cluster of pictures that will eventually tell a story as you go through all of them, in the order that the user chooses.

The nook: http://www.barnesandnoble.com/nook/index.asp is a new form of interactive media. The e-book reader surfaced recently as an alternative to tangible, paper books. It allows the user an interactive way to move between different stories all filed together in a handheld database that eliminates the need for stacks of books or a trip to the store.
